SPRING 3D ARCHERY LEAGUE

APRIL 12TH - MAY 17TH  

WEEKLY FEE - $10+Tax      Total Cost of League: $60 + Tax

LEAGUE KEY POINTS: 

  • The purpose of the 3D Archery League is to have fun, enhance your shooting skills, and meet other people who share an interest in recreational shooting.

  • The 3D Archery League is sponsored by McMiller Sports Center, Vortex, Browning, Nanuk Shooting Cases.

  • All teams must consist of two individuals. If you are signing up as a single shooter, we will pair you with an additional single shooter. 

  • The league caters to shooters of all levels and genders, both youth and adult.

  • The level of difficulty is Intermediate to Advanced. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most difficult, this league rates about 4 – 7.

  • 6-week league, for 6 scores running from April to mid-May.

  • A different target layout will be offered weekly. Scores posted weekly. 

  • Youth Division = 13 and under. Adult Division = 14 and over. 

  • If more than 3 teams are within the youth division, youth shooter will have their own category. 

  • League Banquet - May 18th @ 11am (Enjoy Shooting Games) (Meal) (Prizes) 

  • Scores for each week will be posted in the main lodge as well as on our website.

SPRING 3D ARCHERY LEAGUE INFORMATION

Teams 

  • 2 person teams 

  • Team must shoot together to score each other.

 

Shooting Classification 

  • Bare Bow, Bowhunter, Target 

  • Bare Bow (Long bow, Recurve, compound without sights and no releases) 

  • Bowhunter (stabilizer 12 inches or less) 

  • Target (stabilizer more than 12 inches)                                                                                    

 

Scoring

  • 40 targets 

  • One arrow per target 

  • Rotate thru the ounce starting at one shooting position number. Locate target # and shoot. 

  • Rotate to the next shooting position within the number sequence. 

  • To score higher score the arrow must touch line. 

    • 10 points for heart kill and kill area. ​

    • 8 points for lung 

    • 5 points for body 

    • 0 points for miss of target. 

    • Range Finders and Binoculars are allowed. 

 

Score Sheets 

  • Fill out names and date you shoot.                                                                                         

  • If you miss a week your week score will be an average and entered 

  • Turn in to cashier when finished. 

  • Scores will be posted online and, in the lodge, weekly. 

 

League 6 Weeks

  • May 18th @ 11am (League Banquet - bring your bows for games) ​​

    • Dinner / Drinks ​

    • Top 3 overall shooters receive sponsored prizes.

Women's Sporting Clays League

Competitive and fun leagues for everyone.

McMiller Sport's Center offers a wide variety of leagues all year-round for youth and adults. Shooters of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to participate! Low pressure, lots of fun!

SUMMER RIFLE LEAGUE - 22 Long Rifle

JUNE 1ST - JULY 13TH 

LEAGUE FEE - $60+$1.50 (Service Fee)

LEAGUE KEY POINTS: 

  • The purpose of the Summer Rifle League is to have fun, enhance your target skills, and meet other people who share an interest in recreational shooting.

  • The Summer Rifle League is sponsored by McMiller Sports Center, Vortex, Browning & Light Mark Systems.

  • The league caters to casual shooters, both youth and adult.

  • The level of difficulty is Moderate to Advanced. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most difficult, this league rates about 4 – 7.

  • 6-week league, running from June to mid-July.

  • Bipods or McMiller wooden rests are allowed. Front and rear bags allowed. No lead sleds. No front rests such as the Caldwell Rock.

  • 22 Long Rifle only. No 22 WMR.

  • Allowed firing positions are seated, prone, and standing.

  • A different target every week. Scores posted weekly. Prizes for the winners.

  • Youth Division = 13 and under. Adult Division = 14 and over. Targets at 25 and 50 yards for youth. Targets at 25, 50, and 100 yards for adults.

  • Sign up with McMiller. Cost is $60 and covers targets, awards, fun shoot, and food/banquet. Range
    fees and ammo not included.

SUMMER .22 RIFLE LEAGUE

The Winter Rifle League 

  •  The league caters to casual shooters, precision-minded hunters, and tactical/ PRS/NRL shooters. 

  • The Winter Rifle League is PRIVATE, but McMiller Sports Center has been hosting the league since 2016. 

  • The league is limited to a finite number of shooters each year (currently 20-24). Past participants have priority. New shooters can be added to a waiting list. 

  • The level of difficulty is Advanced to Expert. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most difficult, this league rates about 7 to 10. As such, new shooters without prior competitive shooting experience may be asked to shoot a qualification target to demonstrate basic rifle marksmanship. 

  • A tactical / hunting bipod and a read bag are required. F-Class bipods and solid front and rear rests are not allowed. 

  • Scopes are also required, but laser sights are not allowed. 

  • Centerfire rifles only (.204 to 30 caliber). Ammo can be factory or handloads. 

  • Suppressors, breaks, and tuners are allowed. 

  • Allowed firing positions are seated at a bench or prone. 

  • A different target every week. About 1/3 of the targets are traditional. The remaining targets are unique and vary from season to season. All are designed to challenge shooters. 

  • League fees are $80. Range fees are posted at McMiller. 

  • 10- Week league, running from January to mid-March. 

  • To be considered for the 2025 league, all inquiries much be received by December 1, 2024. 

  • The league starts on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
