Citori Composite

MSRP - $2249.99

Rent - $25

Overview

A living legend. For 50 years the Browning Citori has been revered by hunters and target shooters alike; ranking among the toughest, most reliable, best handling, and most beautiful over and under shotguns available. None of these accolades come as a surprise, however, as the foundation of the Citori is the Superposed, designed by none other than John M. Browning – a man widely regarded as the greatest gun designer in history.

Although not the first over and under shotgun, the Superposed was the first commercially successful model. John M. Browning himself was a shotgun enthusiast, and imagined the Superposed with the notion that a single sighting plane and single, selective trigger would prove superior to other twin barrel shotguns of the era. In addition, it was designed to be more reliable and attainable than other over/under models. Unfortunately, Mr. Browning would not live to see the Superposed to fruition, passing away in 1926 before he could complete work on his vision.

A modern twist on a perennial favorite. The new Citori Composite is a direct descendant of the Superposed, retaining the strong foundation and benefiting from changes that ease manufacturing and enhance styling to meet the evolving needs and tastes of users. It effectively blends the rugged dependability of this superior shotgun with the toughness and versatility of composite. If you're asking why composite, the answer is simple, in addition to being tough and weather-resistant, composite also allows for the shape of the stocks to be manipulated. The dimensions of the grip areas can be made thinner to better fit shooters of all sizes. The addition of rubber overmolds also improves grip. All of these improvements have been accomplished without affecting the balance and swing that have helped make the Citori to sought after shotgun that it is.

Citori Composite Features

  • New composite stock and forearm with rubber overmolding offer enhanced grip and ergonomics and retain legendary Citori balance

  • Engraved steel receiver with full-width steel hinge pin and tapered locking bolt offer maximum durability

  • Blued receiver and barrel finish

  • Adjustable comb

  • Inflex II recoil pad

  • Floating rib with ivory bead sight and mid-bead

  • Three choke tubes included (F, M, IC)

  • POI: 60/40

  • Ideal for hunting/sporting clays

Citori Sporting 725 - Over & Under

MSRP - $3069.99

Rent - $25

Overview

You're a real contender for the win with a Citori 725 Sporting in your hands. This shotgun is the evolution of John M. Browning’s legendary B25 Superposed, now with the modern performance advantage of a low-profile receiver. The Citori 725 receiver is significantly lower than other Citori 12 gauge receivers, yet it shares the renowned durability of generations of Citori over and unders with the same rugged full-width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt design.

With a Citori 725, you get the balance, form and excellence that translates into the "one with the gun" feeling you want, with the long lasting durability you expect from a Browning over and under. The Citori 725 also showcases the FireLite Mechanical Trigger that offers unmatched feel and lighter pull weights than ever before. An Inflex recoil pad has also been added to make shooting more comfortable. Experience the benefits these improvements can do for your shooting with a Citori 725.
